The Time Is Now

How many of you have been discouraged when the topic of taking your little ones to Disney comes up?

“They’re too little.”
“They’ll never remember it.”
“Wait until they’re older.”
“Don’t waste your money.”

Sound familiar? I think most of us have heard some version of that before. But here’s what I’ve learned — their childhood is your motherhood.

Time doesn’t slow down. It doesn’t wait until the “perfect age.” It just keeps moving. And those chubby hands that once held yours so tightly? They don’t stay small forever.

I didn’t truly understand this until we took our first trip with our two boys — just 18 months and 6 months old at the time. It was a last-minute trip, one we didn’t expect to change us the way it did. But from that very first moment, watching their eyes light up at the sight of Mickey… I felt it. That was the magic.

Since then, we’ve gone back countless times. We’ve experienced the parks from the East Coast to the West and Disney Cruise Line with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and now big kids — and every single trip has been different, but every one of them has been worth it. Were there meltdowns? Of course. Was every moment picture-perfect? Definitely not. But not once have I ever wished we’d waited.

Because here’s the truth — they may not remember every detail, but you will. You’ll remember the laughter, the wonder in their eyes, the way they believed without question.

These moments become the heartbeat of your motherhood. They’re the memories that shape your story — the snippets of time that remind you how fleeting, yet full, this season really is.

So take the trip. Don’t wait for “someday.” Let them believe, let them explore, let them feel the magic — and let yourself feel it too.

Because the magic doesn’t just belong to them.
It’s yours too.
And the time is now. ✨
